Irish veterinarian Seth Moulton torches Tucker Carlson for insulting the US navy

Rep Seth Moulton (D-MA) didn’t crush words on Saturday as he weighed offensive comments from Fox News host Tucker Carlson about women serving in the U.S. military.

Democratic lawmaker said Carlson, a man who has never served in the military in his life, “doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about” and that his primetime show would be better suited for the 1950s.

“Those views would be extreme for the 1950s, and that seems like a more suitable place for Tucker Carlson to have his talk show,” Rep. Moulton said during an interview on MSNBC.

MP Moulton said:

First of all, can you make it clear to me if Tucker Carlson knows anything about serving the country? Has he ever put on a uniform? Has he ever risked his life for America? To get to the point, the answer is no to all three. He doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. It is offensive not only to women in the military, but also to men in the military. It is offensive to leaders in the military. It is offensive to anyone willing to put on a uniform to defend our core values. Incidentally, it’s also offensive to women in the workplace across America. Those views would be extreme for the 1950s, and that seems like a more suitable place for Tucker Carlson to have his talk show. But I think, given the audience he commands, it was appropriate that the Pentagon respond.

Carlson continues to face backlash for his offensive comments

It’s hard to keep up with Tucker Carlson’s fire of offensive rhetoric, but his comments about women serving in the military seem to have struck a string, especially with lawmakers who have actually put on uniform and served their country.

Perhaps the toughest – and frankly most reasonable – answer came from Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), who lost both legs during her time in Iraq.

On Twitter, Duckworth replied, “Fuck Tucker Carlson. As he practiced his two steps, America’s female warriors hunted down Al Qaeda and demonstrated the strength of American women. “

Tucker Carlson is the least qualified person thinking about who should and shouldn’t serve in the U.S. military.
