The White House deputy press secretary said on MSNBC:

Poll after poll after poll, Alex that we’ve seen over the last month or so shows strong bipartisan support for this bill, the American bailout plan that is now law. And we saw overwhelming support even from Republicans. We have seen polls like 59% of Republicans who support this law. So you have Democrats, you have Independents, you have Republicans saying they want that check for $ 1,400 because they were hurt so badly by last year, the pandemic, and this economic crisis.

And that’s exactly what we’re listening to. And, you know, Alex, the thing is, the people who don’t support this, the Republicans who don’t support it, are the Republicans on the hill. So they have to go back to their constituents, they have to go to their district, their states, and explain why they voted against not putting $ 1,400 in the pockets of the people who need it most, not voting for a law, the small business is helping who really felt the brunt of this virus and pandemic, and not for a law that cuts child poverty in half. That is up to them to explain to their own constituents why they did not do this.

President Biden has learned some important lessons from his time in the Obama administration. The Biden government does popular things and they don’t give Republicans time to spread their lies and false information about democratic achievements.

The President and Vice President will tour the country and get Republicans to defend their votes against the People’s Incentive Act in their own backyards.

Republicans in Congress voted against the incentive, and this White House is not going to let them off the hook. You have to answer for the votes as the GOP’s worst nightmare will come true.
The president will hold them accountable for ignoring the will of the majority of Americans.
